Our maps are made from beautiful birch plywood. Natural variances in the wood grain ensure a unique work of art. Once the map is cut, it is hand sanded multiple times, mounted on a blue board to highlight the water, and given a clear coat for a lustrous wood shine. Lake Linganore is a community in Frederick County, in the U.S. state of Maryland, located just outside New Market, Maryland. The community consists of "villages" which are essentially neighborhoods. The community of villages is centered on a system of lakes, the centerpiece of which is Lake Linganore, a 210-acre reservoir built on Linganore Creek, and the largest privately owned lake in the state.
